James Pope is an actor (SAG | AEA), improviser, writer, director, & comedian whose content has been featured on Funny or Die, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Buzzfeed, and The Second City Network. His credits include: The Revolution Will Be Improvised (The Second City, u/s), Getaway From Here: A Comedy Sketch Show (Library Nineteen), The Greatest Sketch Show in America (BIG), You Can’t Take It With You (Spotlighters Theatre), Adam & Evie (Everyman Theatre, Education), BIG Time (BIG), Baltimore’s Got Talent (BIG), Improvised Clue (BIG), Dark City: Beneath the Beat and dozens of super cool commercials selling windows and such. He is the co-creator and director of the comedic TV pilot, GRINDING, and the comedic sketch show, GETAWAY FROM HERE.

James is a current cast member of Big Time at the Baltimore Improv Group. He also performs with Melk and Big Worm, two indie improv teams that have appeared at venues and festivals nationwide. Previously, James was a Saul Zaentz Film Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and trained at The Second City, The Groundlings, the iO! Theater, the Annoyance, the Everyman Theatre, The Center for Movement Theatre, & the Baltimore Improv Group. His latest creative venture, The Bellwethers, is a Stowe Story Labs Selected Project.
